*Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Mega ‘Padh Yatra’ in Anantnag Tomorrow*
*Diversions, Parking Arrangements Announced for Smooth Traffic Movement*
Anantang, May 8: The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Friday issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the mega “Padh Yatra” rally being organised in Anantnag town on May 9 as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
According to the advisory issued by the office of Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, movement of vehicular traffic on several key routes in Anantnag town shall remain completely suspended from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the event.
The affected routes include General Bus Stand Anantnag to Batengoo Fruit Mandi Crossing, Mehandikadal to KP Chowk, and Railway Station Crossing Wanpoh to Khanabal Crossing. Motorists have been advised to avoid travel on these roads during the specified hours.
To ensure hassle-free movement of traffic, authorities have announced diversion plans for commuters travelling towards Pahalgam and Srinagar/Jammu.
Traffic bound for Pahalgam from Srinagar and Jammu shall be diverted from Doonipora Crossing via Padshahi Bagh Bridge, Apple Valley-Srigufwara Road and Langanbal diversion point towards Pahalgam.
Similarly, traffic coming from Pahalgam towards Srinagar or Jammu shall be diverted from Langanbal via Apple Valley-Srigufwara Road, Padshahibagh Bridge, Bijbehara market and Doonipora Crossing towards NH-44.
Meanwhile, special traffic and parking arrangements have also been made for vehicles ferrying rally participants from different areas.
Vehicles from Pahalgam, Aishmuqam, Mattan and Kehribal areas will move via Sarnal Crossing and Laizbal to the General Bus Stand parking slot.
Participants coming from Kokernag, Achabal and Brakpora shall use the Brakpora Bypass–Shirpora–Janglatmandi route and park at Ahli-Hadith Eidgah and other designated parking areas including Hamdania Sumo Stand and Mechanical Parking.
Vehicles arriving from Kulgam-Qazigund side will be routed through Alstop, Wanpoh and Railway Station parking slot, while those from Bijbehara side shall move via Pazalpora to Batengo Fruit Mandi parking areas.
Traffic Police further stated that vehicles from Dooru side will take the Dialgam Bypass–NH-244–Alstop–Wanpoh route towards Railway Station parking slot.
Authorities urged the public to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow the advisory strictly for smooth conduct of the mega event.
