Banihal, May 21th : One person was killed and another injured in a road accident at Kharpora Chowk on NH-44 in Banihal on Thursday morning.
Officials said a Tata Mobile vehicle rammed into a stationary truck, resulting in the death of the driver on the spot while another occupant sustained injuries.
The deceased was identified as Bashir Ahmad Kumhr, a resident of Pulwama. The injured person was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
