Udhampur, July 14: The Play Nation Badminton League, organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur, under the Youth Empowerment Programme, was inaugurated today by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Udhampur, Jugal Sharma, attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
A total of 458 players are participating in the league, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among youth for badminton and competitive sports. The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle while providing young athletes with a platform to showcase their talent.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Youth Services & Sports Department in encouraging youth participation through sporting activities. They emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in empowering young people, nurturing talent, and steering them towards positive and productive pursuits.
