*21 IPS Officer Trainees Briefed on J&K Police’s Counter-Terror Strategy at Police Headquarters*

Srinagar, July 25: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, along with senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, on Saturday interacted with 21 IPS Officer Trainees of the 78th Regular Recruit (RR) batch at the Police Headquarters, where they were given an in-depth briefing on the force’s role in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the Union Territory.
During the interaction, the trainee officers were apprised of the extraordinary sacrifices, courage, and professionalism displayed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police while fighting by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism over the years.
Senior police officers also explained the operational strategies, intelligence-based counter-terrorism measures, and coordinated security mechanisms adopted by the force to eliminate the menace of proxy terrorism and ensure lasting peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
The session aimed to familiarize the young IPS officers with the unique security challenges in the region and provide them with firsthand insights into the operational experience of the J&K Police, one of the country’s most battle-hardened police forces.
The interaction concluded with discussions on leadership, policing in conflict situations, and the continued commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police towards safeguarding national security and protecting the lives of citizens.
