Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) arrangements finalised at Anantnag DC emphasises provision of seamless facilities

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat today chaired a comprehensive meeting of officers to review and finalize the arrangements for the smooth observance of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district. The meeting was attended by ADCs, Vikas Ahlawat and Dr. Muzamil Maqbool Beigh, SDMs, ACR, Tehsildars, CEO MCA, EOs of MCs, representatives from Health, PDD, Jal Shakti, MVD, Animal Husbandry, Food Safety, FCS&CA, Legal Metrology and F&ES Departments besides representatives from Waqf Board and other concerned officials.

The DC stressed upon the officers for providing all the requisite facilities along with necessary augmentation, if need be, to the devotees visiting Khiram Dargah Shareef, Kabamarg, Reshmool, Aishmuqam, Seer Hamdan and other shrines and mosques during Milad days. He directed the concerned departments for ensuring adequate supply of water and essential commodities along with uninterrupted electricity during the holy days. Instructions were also issued regarding seamless transport management at all critical locations and routes, medicare, sanitation facilities besides proper security and deployment of fire and emergency tenders especially around the shrines and mosques.
The departments were further instructed to ensure the availability of the deputed staff for providing the services at important venues and places.
Underscoring the need for close coordination and synergy among line departments, the DC further directed that special market checking drives as well as inspection of FBO establishments be conducted by the designated teams during the holy days.

Concluding the meeting, the DC asked the SDMs to monitor the preparations and undertake review in their jurisdiction well in advance so that the devotees are facilitated properly for smooth observance of the auspicious days.
