*60 Grams of Heroin-Like Substance Recovered at Qazigund; One Person Arrested*
During dynamic naka checking on the National Highway near Navyug Tunnel,a naka party of Police Station Qazigund intercepted an Alto K10 bearing temporary registration No. JK01C-0049T.
During the ensuing checking, a polythene bag containing approximately *60 grams of Heroin-like* substance was recovered from a passenger travelling in the front seat of the vehicle.
The passenger was identified as *Sikandar Singh S/O Vasakha Singh, resident of Moga, Punjab*, and was taken into custody.
In this connection, case FIR No. 20/2026 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Qazigund, and investigation has been initiated.
The investigation is underway to establish the source and intended destination of the recovered contraband and to ascertain the involvement of any other persons in the drug-trafficking network.
