Awantipora, October 23:
Continuing its efforts to curb illegal mining and the unauthorised extraction of minerals, Police District Awantipora seized six vehicles, including five dumpers and one tipper, during enforcement action at different locations.
During naka checking and routine patrolling, Police Station Khrew detected illegal mining activities at Bathen and seized three dumpers involved in the unauthorised extraction of minerals.
Similarly, Police Post Reshipora, in coordination with the Mining Department, seized two dumpers in connection with illegal mining. In another action, Police Station Awantipora seized one vehicle involved in illegal mining activities.
Awantipora Police reiterates its commitment to taking strict action against illegal mining and urges the general public to cooperate with the Police and report such unlawful activities to the nearest police establishment.
