CRPF trooper injured in hit and run case in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 03: A CRPF trooper was injured on Tuesday evening in a hit and run case in Kashmir capital Srinagar, sources said.

Sources told news agency KDC that a trooper of 25 bn of CRPF naka party was injured when an unknown car hit him at Hyderpora area of Srinagar.

The injured trooper was immediately shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

A top police officer confirmed the incident to KDC and said a case under relevant sections of law is being registered and further investigation is on.

Rebutting reports from a few selected media houses about the trooper suffering injuries in a ‘militant attack’, the official said “there was no militant attack and some media houses and channels are running unverified and fake story about the incident.” (KDC)
