*Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Security Meeting on J&K, Emphasizes ‘Zero Infiltration*

New Delhi, February 5 – Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, chaired a high-level review meeting in New Delhi to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting focused on intensifying counter-terrorism operations and reinforcing efforts to ensure ‘zero infiltration’ in the region.

Shri Amit Shah reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that the sustained and coordinated efforts of the Modi government have significantly weakened the ecosystem of terrorism in the Union Territory.

During the meeting, the Home Minister directed all security agencies to enhance their operations against terror networks. “Our goal should be to uproot the existence of terrorists,” he asserted, highlighting the need for proactive and preemptive action against terror elements.

A major concern raised in the meeting was the funding of terrorism through the narcotics trade. Shri Amit Shah stressed the urgent need to curb terror financing with alacrity and rigor. He instructed law enforcement agencies to dismantle the financial networks supporting terrorist activities, ensuring that no proceeds from drug trafficking fuel violence in the region.

The meeting was attended by top officials from security and intelligence agencies, including the Director of Intelligence Bureau, senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

The review comes at a crucial time as security forces continue to neutralize terror threats and tighten border security to prevent infiltration. The Modi government remains firm in its resolve to establish lasting peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
