3 bovine smuggling attempts foiled by Police in Udhampur, 27 bovines rescue

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday foiled 3 bovine smuggling attempts in Udhampur, and 27 bovines rescued.

APolice spokesperson said Udhampur Police rescued 27 Bovines and seized 03 vehicles used for bovine smuggling.

He said team of Police Post Tikri foiled two bovine smuggling bids in which 21 bovines were rescued and vehicle (Pickup Truck and truck) bearing registration number JK14H 6958 and JK02DD 750 seized from Tikri nakapoint.

In this regard, two cases FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Rehambal.

Earlier police team of Police Post Roundomail rescued 06 bovines from one vehicle bearing registration number JK14J 1971 at naka point Roundomail. The driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot after leaving behind the vehicle on road. All the bovines were rescued and vehicle seized, the spokesperson said.

He said in this connection, a case FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is underway.
