A Hyderabad-based 86-year-old industrialist, Velamati Chandrasekhara Janardhana Rao was stabbed to death at his residence by his grandson allegedly over property distribution, police said on Monday.

The 29-year-old grandson, Kilaru Keerthi Teja, allegedly confronted Rao, the chairman of Veljan Group, claiming unfair asset distribution.

Reports claimed that Teja was given Rs 4 crore as his share of the ancestral property.

The dispute escalated quickly, and he stabbed his grandfather 70 times
