“Do for us, Die for others”: Sajad Lone on Lok Sabha polls

Says NC should explain roadmap of bringing Art 370 back

Srinagar, Apr 15 : J&K Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone Monday said that Lok Sabha elections are “do for us, and die for others” like situation. He said those making people fool once again on Article 370 should come up with roadmap how they will get it back.

“When it comes to Lok Sabha elections, it is do for us and die for others. We have been died many times in past and now it is the time for others,” Sajad Lone as per KNS said while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a party convocation in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.

He said in New Delhi I am being dubbed as Al-Barq (a militant group which took up arms against India in Jammu & Kashmir in 90’s), while in Jammu & Kashmir I am labeled as BJP proxy.

Lone said today neither we have state, nor provisions that empowered us with special status. “The statehood is already taken away. Article 370 and 35(A) have been abrogated. The region is without elections for last five years. I had been a minister of Sheep Husbandry Department only for a period of two and a half year. So those questioning me should hold collar of those who governed J&K for last 30 years. I’m not answerable, rather those ruled J&K for decades should be made accountable for misdeeds they perpetrated in their times,” Lone said.

He said that National Conference cannot escape from their wrongdoings it committed against people of J&K and as such remain answerable before public.

“If NC can bring Article 370 back, they should tell people how it can be returned back. The NC leaders should make people aware about its roadmap, but it is clear they can’t. When their three MPs could not stop its abrogation how they claim it would be brought back now. This is all they speak lies to people,” Lone added.
