Kulgam Police Attach Properties Worth ₹1.50 Crore of Three Alleged Drug Peddlers Under 100-Day Anti-Drugs Campaign

Kulgam, July 15: Continuing its intensified crackdown under the 100-Day Campaign against drug trafficking, Kulgam Police on Tuesday attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹1.50 crore belonging to three alleged drug peddlers in the district.
The action was carried out by Police Station Kulgam in coordination with the Revenue Department under the directions of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kulgam.
According to police, the attached properties comprise three residential houses belonging to Ikhlaq Mubarak, son of Mubarak Ahmad Nengroo, a resident of Amnoo; Aqib Mubarak Dar, a resident of Brazloo, Kulgam; and Showkat Ahmad Rather, son of Wali Mohammad Rather, a resident of Ashmuji, Kulgam.
Police said the properties were attached in accordance with the relevant legal provisions following orders issued by the competent authority as part of the ongoing campaign to dismantle the infrastructure supporting drug-related activities.
Officials stated that the action reflects the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to targeting the proceeds of crime and ensuring that properties linked to unlawful activities are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
Reaffirming its resolve to make Jammu and Kashmir drug-free, the police said it will continue taking stringent legal action against individuals involved in narcotics-related offences and other activities prejudicial to public order and the security of the Union Territory.
The police also appealed to the public to cooperate by sharing information about drug trafficking and other unlawful activities in their respective areas, saying community participation is essential to strengthening peace, security and the rule of law.
