Continuing its efforts to curb drug trafficking and eradicate the menace of narcotics, Anantnag Police apprehended one more person during routine patrolling in the Sangam area.
The individual, identified as Mohammad Javeed, son of Abdul Saeed, resident of Pauta Kalan, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended by a police party from Police Post Sangam. During checking, approximately 10.52 grams of charas was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, FIR No. 302/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara, and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances and other possible links in the case.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to taking firm action against drug-related activities and urges the public to cooperate with police in the collective fight against the drug menace.
