*Most notorious heroine supplier Sahil @ Doggy of Srinagar and 3 others arrested by Anantnag Police*
Anantnag, 16 May 2026:
Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug peddlers, Anantnag Police arrested 04 drug peddlers in two separate operations conducted by Police Post Sangam and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Sangam established a naka at Halmulla, Sangam and intercepted a Honda City (JK01AG-4342) coming from Jammu towards Srinagar. During checking, approximately 12.7 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of Syed Sahil @ Doggy S/o Syed Sharif-ud-Din R/o Firdous Colony Bemina, Srinagar, A/P Rayar Budgam; Farhan Majeed Wani S/o Abdul Majeed Wani R/o Gaberpora Hall, Shopian; and Uzair Ahmad Itoo S/o Riyaz Ahmad Itoo R/o Sehpora, Dooru. The vehicle used in commission of offence has also been seized.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 127/2026 under sections 8/21, 29 NDPS Act stands registered and investigation has been taken up.
In another operation, Police Post Sangam apprehended Sartaj Ahmad Allie S/o Gh. Mohiuddin Allie R/o Naina Batpora near Naina Bridge, G.B. Khalil, Naina and recovered approximately 19 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 128/2026 under section 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered and further investigation is in progress.
