DGP sanctions welfare loan/financial assistance of Rs. 78 lakh

Jammu, January 18:ย In continuation to a series ofย welfareย measures for the Police personnel, the Director General of Police, J&K Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Rupees 75 lakh welfareย loan in favour of 63 serving officers and personnel of J&K Police. He has also sanctioned financial assistance of rupees three lakh in favour of NOK of martyrs.

Vide PHQ Order No. 188 of 2023,ย welfareย loanย ranging from rupees fifty thousand to rupees 1.50 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of 62 serving Police personnel for the purpose of their self marriage, or for marriage of their wards/relatives.

Similarly,ย a welfareย loanย of rupees 1.50 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of 01 Police personnel for whose ward is pursuing higher education.

Theย welfareย loanย sanctioned to the serving Police personnel is refundable and is recovered in monthly installments from their salaries without any interest. This welfareย loan has been sanctioned out of the Central Policeย Welfareย Fund.

Besides the DGP has sanctioned financial assistance of rupees one lakh each in favour of NOK of martyr SgCt Gh Mohammad, martyr Ct. Ab Majeed and martyr Ct. Nazir Ahmad for the purpose of marriage of their daughters.

Police Headquarters under differentย welfareย schemes is providing financial assistance to all the ranks serving/retired of Jammu and Kashmir Police and to serving SPOs. Financial support to the families & wards of Martyr Police personnel and wards of martyr SPOs is also taken care of by the Police Headquarters.
