Sopore Police Trace Missing Girl Within 36 Hours, Urge Social Media Users to Delete Photos
Girl from Rafiabad’s Laiser recovered safely and handed over to family; police appeal to protect her privacy
Sopore, Oct 21: Sopore Police have safely traced and recovered a missing girl from Laiser village of Rafiabad within 36 hours of receiving a complaint, urging social media users and page administrators to immediately delete her photographs to safeguard her privacy.
Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS said, On 19 October, Police Station Dangiwacha received a complaint regarding a missing girl from Laiser, Rafiabad. Acting promptly, a team was constituted.
With technical assistance and human intelligence, the girl was traced and recovered safely within 36 hours. After legal formalities, she has been handed over to her family in safe condition.
“All social media users/page admins who shared the girl’s photo are requested to delete it immediately and not share further, to protect her privacy,” spokesperson said.(JKNS)
