Illicit timber recovered from smugglers in Uri village

Uri, Jun 23: Baramulla police along with forest department on Thursday recovered a large quantity of illicit timber from smugglers in Thajal village of Uri in Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that acting on a specific input a team of police headed by SHO Police station Uri raided Thajal village and recovered illicit forest timber.

He said that a case FIR No. 63/22 U/S 379 IPC 26 Indian Forest Act has been registered in Police Station Uri.
