*Sopore tops North Kashmir SDHs with 40K-plus monthly visits: Govt tells House*
Srinagar, Sep 25 (KNO): Sub-District Hospitals (SDHs) across Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora districts recorded a combined monthly patient inflow of 2,03,584, the government informed the Legislative Assembly on Friday.
Responding to a question by MLA Irshad Rasool Kar, the government, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said SDH Sopore recorded the highest patient inflow among the listed hospitals, with 40,364 visits in a month, making it the busiest SDH across the three districts. It was followed by SDH Kupwara with 33,000 patients and SDH Pattan with 25,604.
The government said Baramulla district recorded the largest overall patient inflow, with its seven listed SDHs collectively registering 1,22,561 visits. Besides Sopore and Pattan, SDH Tangmarg reported 20,839 patients, Kreeri 15,105, Rohama 7,384, Uri 7,364 and Chandoosa 5,901.
It said that in Kupwara district, eight SDHs recorded a combined 78,700 patient visits. After SDH Kupwara, Tangdar reported 11,300 visits, followed by Sogam with 10,500, Kralpora 9,500, Langate 6,000, Kralgund 3,900, Vilgam 3,000 and Zachaldara 1,500. SDH Gurez in Bandipora recorded 2,323 patient visits during the month.—(KNO)
