Jasrotia, Jamwal and Shishu Demand CBI Enquiry into NC Government’s Recruitment Scam over Outsourcing of 25,000 Government Jobs BJP Leaders Term it Institutionalised Corruption; Allege Nepotism and Betrayal of Youth

Jammu/Srinagar, June 30, 2026: BJP spokespersons Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia, Zorawar Singh Jamwal and Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu today strongly condemned the National Conference-led Jammu & Kashmir government over what they described as a “recruitment scam of unprecedented scale and nature,” involving the backdoor outsourcing of 25,000 government jobs in a corrupt and nepotistic manner.
The leaders recalled that while the NC had promised one lakh jobs to the youth in its election manifesto, it has instead squandered these opportunities through backdoor appointments by outsourcing jobs to contractors. They alleged that money has exchanged hands and that these jobs have been handed over to those close to the NC establishment, bypassing transparent recruitment through the SSRB and denying ordinary citizens a level playing field.
Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia said this was a repeat of the NC-Congress combine’s history of backdoor appointments, including the alleged induction of ex-militants into government jobs in the past. He also highlighted the injustice faced by doctors who served Kashmir during the peak of terrorism. “Those who moved to Gulf countries and have now returned after years are claiming government jobs, displacing the doctors who stood their ground during the hardest days of militancy. This too is a backdoor appointment, facilitated by the banana-republic style of governance of that era,” he stated.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal described the move as “a recruitment scam of a scale and nature never seen before in J&K.” He said, “Instead of initiating regular appointments through the SSRB and giving every citizen a level playing field, the NC government has opened a backdoor through outsourcing and sold off 25,000 jobs in the most corrupt manner. Outsourcing government jobs through contractors is nothing but institutionalised corruption. The NC has played with the future of our youth.”
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu said that while parents spend their hard-earned money to educate their children, the favoured few of the NC, Congress and PDP continue to jump the queue and become torchbearers of nepotism. He warned that BJP workers would come out on the roads, if required, to fight for the legitimate rights and jobs of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The BJP spokespersons demanded an immediate rollback of the outsourcing policy, a thorough CBI enquiry into the entire recruitment scam, and scrutiny of all appointments made so far, so that justice is delivered to deserving candidates strictly on the basis of merit, ability and capability.
They urged the government to stop snatching public employment opportunities from the youth and instead create ample, transparent avenues for regular recruitment.
