Srinagar, April 27 (GNS): Weatherman has forecast โhot & dryโ weather to continue till tomorrow and a brief spell of light rain and thunderstorm on April 29-30th.
โAs expected, the weather remained dry in the whole J&K during the past 24 hours. Hot & dry weather likely till 28th whereas a brief spell of light Rain/Thunderstorm is likely on (April) 29-30th,โ A meteorological department official said here. โ(There is) no forecast of any significant weather for next one week.โ He said further rise in temperature was expected in Jammu region.
Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded a low of 10.4ยฐC against 9.0ยฐC on the previous night, the official told GNS. The temperature, he said, was 1.1ยฐC above normal during this time of the year for the summer capital.
Qazigund recorded a low of 7.8ยฐC against 6.6ยฐC on the previous night. The temperature was normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said.
Kokernag recorded a low of 7.9ยฐC against 6.0ยฐC on the previous night. It was 0.1ยฐC above normal during this time of the season for the place in south Kashmir, the official said.
Pahalgam recorded a minimum of 3.8ยฐC against 2.8ยฐC last night. The temperature was 0.6ยฐC below normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir during this time of the season, he said.
Gulmarg recorded a low of 5.4ยฐC against 1.2ยฐC on the previous night, the official said. While 4.2ยฐC is normal for the world famous skiing resort during this time of the season, the official said that the temperature was 1.2ยฐC above normal for the place in north Kashmirโs Baramulla district.
Kupwara town in north Kashmir recorded a low of 7.9ยฐC against 7.2ยฐC on the previous night. The temperature was 0.1ยฐC above normal for the district, the official told Global News Service.
Jammu recorded a low of 21.7ยฐC against 23.1ยฐC on the previous night, the official said. The temperature was 0.2ยฐC below normal for J&Kโs winter capital, he said. Banihal recorded a low of 12.6ยฐC, Batote 14.6ยฐC and Bhaderwah 10.2ยฐC, the official said.(GNS)
