Karnah,Jan 10 : A minor was seriously injured after stray dogs attacked him in Baghbella area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that stray dogs pounced upon 4-year-old.Zoya Jahangeer daughter of Jahnageer Ahmad of Baghbella, resulting in critical injuries to her.
He said family members who were present at the time of incident, somehow managed to rescue the girl and shifted her to sub district hospital Tanghdar where she was being treated
The local inhabitants have in the meantime expressed concern over the rapid growth in canine population in the area.
The locals appealed to district and tehsil administration to take preventive measures to safeguard human lives and livestock.
