Police organises plantation drives under “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign

August 16: The campaign “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” continues under which Jammu & Kashmir Police organized plantation drives in Shopian and Sopore.

In Shopian, on the directions of SSP Shopian MS Tanushree- IPS held a plantation drive across all the police establishments in the district with an aim to promote awareness, importance and community engagement in understanding environmental ethics and role of Police & Public in upliftment of the nation. This initiative has garnered significant enthusiasm and participation from all sections of society, highlighting the collective dedication towards a stronger and environmentally conscious community. All SDPOs of the district participated in the said drive and planted ornamental and other local variants of trees in and around office campus & at other places.

In Sopore, SSP Sopore Shri Shabir Nawab-JKPS accompanied by SDPO Sopore Dr. Raies Ahmad-JKPS and DySP DAR Sopore Dr. Hilal Ahmad Hilal-JKPS held a plantation drive at District Police Lines Sopore. Moreover, the drive was also launched in all Police establishments of Police district Sopore.
