Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla; Contraband substances recovered

Baramulla Oct 09, : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Chennad Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.

A police party of Police Post Delina headed by IC PP Delina under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Chennad Baramulla intercepted one person identified as Showkat Ahmad Guroo resident of Naidkhai Hajin.

During search, 70 grams of contraband substance Charas was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
