With No Alliances, Apni Party to Contest 60 Seats
Srinagar, Aug 24: Apni Party President Syed Altaf Bukhari announced that his party will contest the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections alone.
Bukhari speaking to media persons, said that they will field candidates on 60 seats, with 40 from Kashmir and 20 from Jammu.
Bukhari stated that Apni Party learned a lesson from the Lok Sabha elections and will not form any alliances this time. He claimed that some parties are forming alliances, both openly and secretly.
Specifically, Bukhari mentioned that PDP and BJP are in an alliance with NC and Congress.
The Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections will be held in three phases: September 18, September 25, and October 1. The results will be declared on October 4.
“The party aims to contest all 60 seats, relying on its own strength and support,” he added.
