Students Await Scholarship Disbursement under JK LG’s Super 75 Scholarship Scheme

Srinagar, Dec 24, : Selected candidates under the JK LG’s Super 75 Scholarship Scheme (Mission Youth) have raised concerns regarding the delayed disbursement of their scholarship amounts. This scheme, which has been a beacon of hope for many students facing financial challenges, has not met its promise, leaving students in distress.
The candidates said that despite completing all necessary formalities, including multiple levels of document verifications at Haj House, district offices, Deputy Commissioner offices, and tehsildar offices, they have not received even the first installment of the scholarship. With many students now in their fourth semester of postgraduate degrees, the delay in disbursement has become a critical issue.
The scholarship was designed to alleviate financial burdens by providing Rs. 50,000 in the first year and an additional Rs. 50,000 in the second year. However, despite the students’ cooperation with every verification process and numerous visits to the Civil Secretariat and district offices, they remain without the promised financial assistance.
“Each visit yields the same explanations—pending verifications, lack of funds, or re-verification emails,” the students told CNS adding that prolonged delay has caused significant distress among the students, many of whom have taken education loans to fund their degrees.
