*Both Bodies of Siblings Recovered After Drowning in Jhelum River in Anantnag’s Bijbehara*

Anantnag, April 13: Bodies of two siblings who drowned after accidentally slipping into the Jhelum River at Padshahibagh area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag have been recovered, officials said on Monday.
An official said that the deceased have been identified as Majid Ahmad Malik and Shahid Ahmad Malik, residents of Jabalipora.
He added that the duo lost balance while bathing sheep near the riverbank and accidentally fell into the river, after which they went missing.
Soon after the incident, a police team from Bijbehara, along with local residents, launched a massive rescue operation to trace the missing siblings. The bodies were later recovered with the assistance of Police and SDRF personnel, along with locals.
