Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan DYSSO Srinagar organises series of activities to mark Earth Day across district

SRINAGAR, APRIL 23: In line with the ongoing 100 Days “Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan” the District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Srinagar today organised a series of activities across various educational institutions to mark Earth Day and Open Mic Day.
The programme was conducted, aiming to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
The initiative focuses on sensitising young minds about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to adopt positive life choices.
Students from different institutions actively participated in pledge ceremonies, awareness programmes, open mic sessions, and talk shows.
The events highlighted the importance of a pollution-free environment and a drug-free society, reinforcing the message “Choose Life, Not Drugs.”
As part of the campaign, an open mic talk show was also organised at the iconic Zero Bridge, symbolising heritage and unity. The platform provided an opportunity for youth and the general public to express their views openly and discuss the adverse effects of drug abuse.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar, Ghulam Hassan Lone, along with officials and field staff of the Youth Services and Sports Department, personally participated in the programme, encouraging youth engagement and boosting their morale.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as a meaningful step towards building a healthier, aware, and responsible generation.
