*Police, CRPF working well with civil Admin: IGP Kashmir* *Reviews Urs arrangements at Charar Shrine, prays for peace and prosperity*

Budgam, Oct 09 : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Sujit Kumar on Friday said police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel are working in close coordination with the civil administration to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA) at Charar-i-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Speaking to media persons during his visit to the revered shrine, IGP Sujit Kumar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the police and CRPF teams deployed there are coordinating well with the local administration, while various civil departments were also performing their duties.

“The police and CRPF teams deployed here are working very well with the local administration. The civil administration, including ambulance services and the Fire and Emergency Services, is also doing a good job,” he said.

The IGP said he had visited the shrine along with his team to pay his respects and review the security and law-and-order arrangements for the annual religious congregation.

He said he prayed at the shrine for peace, tranquillity and progress in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as for the well-being of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The annual Urs attracts devotees from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere, who gather at the shrine to offer prayers and pay their respects to the Sufi saint.—(KNO)
