*UP Man Arrested in Punjab for Stone-Pelting at Kashmir-Bound Bus; Robbery Plot Suspected*

**Ludhiana, Punjab:** Punjab Police have arrested a man from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a stone-pelting incident targeting a Kashmir-bound passenger bus in the Doraha area of Ludhiana district. According to police, the attack was allegedly part of a robbery plot.

The incident reportedly took place around 11 pm on October 18, when a Delhi-to-Srinagar bus operated by Kashmir-based Star World Ventures was travelling through the area. Stones were allegedly thrown at the moving bus, damaging a windowpane and causing panic among passengers. No injuries were reported.

The arrested accused has been identified in media reports as Abhishek alias Golu, a native of Uttar Pradesh who was reportedly living in Doraha. Police are searching for two other suspects allegedly involved in the incident.

According to the investigation, the suspects allegedly threw stones at moving vehicles on isolated stretches of the road to force them to stop and then rob the occupants. Police reportedly used CCTV footage and technical evidence to identify the accused.

Investigators have also examined whether the incident was connected to an earlier stone-pelting attack involving a bus operated by the same company in Haryana. Police have reportedly ruled out a direct connection between the two incidents.

The incident raised concerns about the safety of passengers travelling between Delhi, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Police investigations are continuing, and efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
