Kashmir’s Drug Crisis Spotlighted in Award-Winning Documentary “Aatish-e-Tilism”

New Delhi, Apr 14,: Senior Journalist and filmmaker Anil Kumar Singh’s hard-hitting documentary Aatish-e-Tilism is gaining critical acclaim, bagging the second spot in the long film category at The Prism Film Festival.

Running just 16 minutes, the film dives deep into the drug menace gripping Kashmir, portraying how civil society, NGOs, and the administration are coming together to tackle the crisis. Through poignant conversations with students, medical professionals, and grassroots activists, the documentary paints a vivid picture of a region fighting back against addiction.

Aatish-e-Tilism not only exposes the harsh truth of synthetic drug abuse and narco-terrorism but also stresses the importance of community-led awareness and rehabilitation. The film shines a light on efforts by organisations like Chotay Taray, which offer judgment-free spaces for recovery and support.

Singh’s work stands out for its emotional depth and urgency, calling for a stigma-free approach to addiction and greater solidarity in healing Kashmir’s youth.
