War Against Drugs Continues J&K Police in Shopian arrested drug peddler; 6.20 grams of Heroine-like substance recovered

SHOPIAN, April 01: Continuing its sustained efforts to eliminate the menace of drugs from society, Shopian Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered a Heroine like substance from his possession.
During routine naka checking at Imamsahib chowk, a police party from Police Station Imamsahib noticed a person in suspicious circumstances and tactfully apprehended him. During the search, a Heroine-like substance weighing approximately 6.20 grams was recovered from his possession. The individual disclosed his identity as Adil Ahmad Makroo resident of Khudwani Rehpora Kulgam.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 15/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Imamsahib and further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and to dismantle the broader drug network involved
